Caring for Your New Puppy or Kitten
Our entire veterinary team highly recommends spaying or neutering for all pets. It's not just the only way to ensure your pet doesn't become pregnant or impregnate another animal, but it can also help prevent certain cancers and other health issues.
The spaying/neutering procedure is perfectly safe and routine, and your pet will be safely given general anesthesia. The recovery from spay/neuter surgery is short and relatively painless—your pet may experience mild discomfort for a few days. Still, it will return to its old self without changing personality or physical health.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about spaying/neutering, including the best age to complete the procedure (generally, the younger, the better). We will be happy to answer any of your questions.
We never want your pet to find themselves away from their forever home.
Microchips provide your pet with a unique identity that will last a lifetime. This permanent form of identification is painlessly implanted beneath your pet's skin, like a vaccination.
About the size of a grain of rice, a tiny microchip holds your contact information, protecting the special bond between you and your furry friend. Losing your pet is scary, but microchips make it easier to locate and find them.
We highly recommend that all pets, even indoor pets, be microchipped as a permanent form of identification.
