What is It?
HT Vista: Fast and Reliable Skin Mass Detection for Your Dog
The HT Vista is a safe, non-invasive, and highly accurate skin cancer screening device for dogs - requiring no needles and delivering instant results. This AI-powered technology allows veterinarians, technicians, and nurses to perform a quick 40-second scan, with results available in just two minutes, making it an affordable and efficient option for pet owners.
Using heat diffusion imaging (HDI), HT Vista assesses whether a skin mass is benign or needs further evaluation. The lump is gently heated by 6°C (42°F) and then cooled while the device analyzes the thermal response and tissue characteristics. The AI processes this data to determine how different skin types retain heat—since healthy and unhealthy tissues respond differently due to variations in structure, metabolism, and blood supply.
Each scanned mass receives an HDI score from 1 to 10, along with a percentage indicating the likelihood that it's benign. For example, a score of 10 suggests a 99% chance the mass is benign, while a score of 4 indicates an 89% chance. Based on the results, we can determine if further steps, like lab testing, are necessary for lower-score masses.
If you’ve noticed a lump on your dog, schedule an appointment today! We’ll perform a quick scan, discuss the results, and create a personalized care plan for your pet.
