DR. NUALA MCDERMOTT

Dr. Nuala McDermott is a graduate of Cornell University, and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University, the school’s veterinary medicine charter class, in 2003. She completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. McDermott lives in New York City, and has provided animal medicine and exemplary care to pets throughout the City for over 19 years.

It’s important to her that people feel they have access to their local doctor and know that they aren’t alone. Her doctor-first mentality gives her clients direct access to her and her knowledge base so every client gets the expertise they need to be successful in the care of their beloved pets.

Today, Dr. McDermott is managing veterinarian and owner of Pure Paws of Hudson Square. Her interest in general medicine drives her treatment of a wide variety of animals and illnesses.When Dr. McDermott is not practicing high-quality animal medicine, she enjoys traveling, and can be seen out and about in the city with her adorable dog, a pug named Hank.
